At Harlow Timber Systems Limited we recognize the importance of responsible management in minimizing the effects that our activities have on our environment. We meet and exceed the required legislation in all areas of environmental management.

The use if timber in construction has important environmental advantages, especially when compared with alternatives such as concrete, steel and plastics.

Timber is a natural, renewable, non-toxic and recyclable. As a building material it provides excellent levels of natural thermal insulation.

Timber Sourcing

We take great care in sourcing our chosen softwoods to ensure the traceability and integrity of the products. All our timber is sourced from well-managed forests and supplied predominantly from the Nordic Countries, governed by strict environmental programmes.

Harlow Timber Systems have been granted certification by BM TRADA, the leading body in timber and accredited by UKAS. This covers the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) Chain Of Custody scheme and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody Scheme.

Harlow Timber Systems Ltd are members of the TRA Association.
