FIRST CURVED SMART ROOF COMPLETED BY HARLOW TIMBER SYSTEMS
smartroof® was first launched in 2004 after four years of extensive research and development but, whilst ‘times were good’, there was almost no need for housebuilders to change. The last 18 months, however, has seen the system trialled by nearly all major housebuilders and now being increasingly adopted as the norm for ‘room in the roof’ house types.

smartroof® has also continued to develop and adapt to market requirements, gaining both NHBC and Robust Detail approvals, as well as working on a range of insulation options for schemes right through to Code Level 6.
smartroof® comprises design software which is part of the Wolf Systems’ timber engineering design package and has been developed to allow flexibility in design so allowing roof designers to design new roof shapes and features which are unique to a sideways spanning panel system.
